Please provide proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination when making the appointment. If not, the appointment will be canceled and rescheduled until your pet receives the vaccine. There is a 48-hour waiting period after the vaccination is administered.
The pet is fit and healthy, Grooming which takes place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which Coconut Pet Spa cannot be held liable.
I do not shave double-coated dogs as it permanently damages their coat, leaves their skin vulnerable to insect bites, parasites, and sun damage. Shaving does not keep double-coated dogs cool. They cool down by panting, sweating through their paws, and cooling the temperature of blood in their ears.
• I provide a de-shedding treatment and extra brushing that helps remove loose undercoat hair without damaging the topcoat. This will help reduce the amount of hair that shed around the home.
• Another great option for double-coated dogs is to give an outline trim for an overall cleanup. An outline trim is a scissor haircut around the outline of a dog. The length of the trim can be customized, with a light outline removing a small amount of hair and a tight outline cutting the hair shorter.
If your pet has fleas and ticks, additional $25 will be charged for the treatment.
Every 15 minutes for de-matting costs $15.
• Mats can trap moisture, dirt, and debris against the skin, creating a breeding ground for bacteria and parasites.
• Dogs may experience itching, pain, and irritation that can significantly affect their quality of life.
• While shaving might not be your first choice, it is essential to understand that de-matting can be painful, time-consuming, and sometimes impossible. Resorting to shaving may be in your pet's best interest for their health and well-being.
Grooming times may vary depending on your dog’s size, breed, coat condition, and behavior.
For the safety and quality of your pet’s groom, services cannot be rushed. If you have other appointments scheduled, please allow sufficient time or consider booking on a day when your schedule is more flexible.
Thank you for your understanding and for allowing me the time needed to provide the best care for your pet.
For safety and proper operation, my grooming van should ideally be parked on a flat, level surface. If only metered or paid parking is available, the client is responsible for covering the cost. In cases where no legal parking is available and a ticket is issued during the appointment, the client will also be responsible for the parking ticket.
Please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 48 hours in advance. Your consideration helps keep my small business running smoothly.
It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule.
Your pet's health and safety are my top priorities. When scheduling your appointment disclose any known health conditions, injuries, contagious illnesses, mobility limitations, anxiety, aggression, bite history, or other behavioral concerns.
This information allows me to prepare appropriately and provide the safest grooming experience possible for your pet and for myself.
For the safety of everyone involved, I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue grooming services if a pet is ill, injured, excessively stressed, or presents a safety risk.
Your satisfaction is important to me. At the completion of your pet's grooming appointment, please take a few moments to look over your dog's haircut and let me know if there is anything you would like adjusted. I am happy to make reasonable changes while I am still at your appointment.
Once I have left your home and moved on to my next client, any requests for adjustments will need to be scheduled when I am back in your area. Due to travel and scheduling limitations, I am unable to make special trips for haircut adjustments.
To ensure you are happy with your pet's groom, please inspect the haircut before I leave and communicate any concerns at that time.
I ensure that all grooming areas have appropriate restraint systems to keep pets secure and prevent sudden movements that could lead to injuries. The van has non-slip surfaces and safety mats to minimize the risk of slips and falls, as well as a secure storage system for tools to prevent accidental injuries.
I also use techniques that minimize stress for the animal, such as using gentle restraint and calming techniques. Additionally, I pay attention to signs of anxiety or aggression in pets to help avoid potential injuries.
I am committed to providing the highest standards of service and encourage pet parents to voice their concerns or suggestions to build a positive and long-lasting relationship. This policy not only enhances customer satisfaction but also helps me evolve as a business, delivering the best possible care to the dogs entrusted to me.
