I do not shave double-coated dogs as it permanently damages their coat, leaves their skin vulnerable to insect bites, parasites, and sun damage. Shaving does not keep double-coated dogs cool. They cool down by panting, sweating through their paws, and cooling the temperature of blood in their ears.
• I provide a de-shedding treatment and extra brushing that helps remove loose undercoat hair without damaging the topcoat. This will help reduce the amount of hair that shed around the home.
• Another great option for double-coated dogs is to give an outline trim for an overall cleanup. An outline trim is a scissor haircut around the outline of a dog. The length of the trim can be customized, with a light outline removing a small amount of hair and a tight outline cutting the hair shorter.
If your pet has fleas and ticks, additional $25 will be charged for the treatment.
Every 15 minutes for de-matting costs $15.
• Mats can trap moisture, dirt, and debris against the skin, creating a breeding ground for bacteria and parasites.
• Dogs may experience itching, pain, and irritation that can significantly affect their quality of life.
• While shaving might not be your first choice, it is essential to understand that de-matting can be painful, time-consuming, and sometimes impossible. Resorting to shaving may be in your pet's best interest for their health and well-being.
Please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance to waive the $100 appointment fee.
It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule.
Your pet's health and safety are my top priorities. When making your appointment, please disclose any known health issues or behavioral challenges your pet might have. If, during the check-in, your pet shows signs of illness, injury, or behavioral issues, the service will be canceled, and a $100 fee will be charged.
I ensure that all grooming areas have appropriate restraint systems to keep pets secure and prevent sudden movements that could lead to injuries. The van has non-slip surfaces and safety mats to minimize the risk of slips and falls, as well as a secure storage system for tools to prevent accidental injuries.
I also use techniques that minimize stress for the animal, such as using gentle restraint and calming techniques. Additionally, I pay attention to signs of anxiety or aggression in pets to help avoid potential injuries.
I am committed to providing the highest standards of service and encourage pet parents to voice their concerns or suggestions to build a positive and long-lasting relationship. This policy not only enhances customer satisfaction but also helps me evolve as a business, delivering the best possible care to the dogs entrusted to me.
Payment is due at the time of service. Payment can be cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, or credit card. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge. The rates are based on the breed and the weight of the pet. Nail cutting and ear cleaning are part of the service unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer.
